Transmaterialism

This was what I would consider the first release of my "modern" body of work. I did a lot of work prior to this, but this is where I feel like I really a sound that was all mine for the first time. It crosses old school house with a little dash of IDM and my always present ambient leanings. I couldn't decide on one track to be the title track, so I named the EP "Transmaterialism" after the first and last songs on the album. "Transmaterial" was actually the last track done on the album and knocked 3 other tracks off of it, but that one was a huge change in how I do songwriting and mixing, and still informs how I work today. The rest of this EP is more of an examination of how I used to work, but do not anymore - that doesn't make the rest of the EP any less compelling of a listen mind you, it just means that nothing I put out today sounds like this, nor is it likely to ever sound that way again. I still enjoy listening through to this a few times a year, and I suspect you would too.
