Deliciously unsettling and deliciously trashy. Lina Teen describes himself as a "digital monster," blending his ghastly, otherworldly aesthetic with eerie yet pop melodies inspired by horror films. An American artist recently signed to R.O.D. Records, Wlav began releasing his unsettling EDM tracks entirely by himself in 2010. He works in his bedroom-turned-studio (literally just a laptop). He creates experimental electronic music inspired by horror, celebrating the unprofessional side of the industry.

He started in 2016, initially producing mixes for fans on his Tumblr page (whitelinesandversace). That same year, he released his debut album, 1001.

In December 2018, his horror-inspired EP 1959 was released, marking his entry into the witch house subgenre. 2024 opens with his signing to the Italian label R.O.D. Records, a recently established label already recognized for its roster of global artists.

Released on January 1st, Drugs is the first track he’s put out under the Italian label. The song was written when he was 16, smoking weed and wanting everyone to know about it. “I just wanted to make a silly little song that I probably would’ve made at 16, and never again in the future,” Lina Teen says. It’s definitely one of the happiest tracks in his archive.
