VVV002 / MOU ✮ Cassandra's Theorem

The second release of Antistandard Records is an EP by the sicilian and Milan based producer MOU.

Cassandra used to foresee the future, but she was cursed so nobody believed her. Troy fell. Every day we interact with social media, politics, modern technologies and a constant lack of privacy, aware that it’s about control over our contemporary society. We foresee our fall and we know it will happen, sooner or later, maybe while playing Bubble Crush taking a shit. We repeat this every day in our minds but at the same time we continue on our daily routine, cursed not to believe our consciousness. We’re all Cassandra, waiting for the end to come.

✮ Moon of Utopia, aka MOU, used to make beats since he was 14, playing around with chopped samples and big kick drums. Inspired by the sound of the 90’s downtempo and Mark Fisher’s writings, his music is a sonic journey through our contemporary society, a jungle of reverb, digital noise and bass synths.
