Scum Puppy is a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Mock-Rock provocateur, underground impresario, and founder of Hoobie Records. First gaining infamy as a founding member of Hideous Piglet Wild-a-Beast, Scum Puppy helped define a feral DIY aesthetic rooted in satire, noise, and cultural vandalism.
Since launching Hoobie Records in 2007, he has overseen a sprawling catalog of experimental, non-linear, and intentionally offensive releases, including the infamous "Rockin’ The Clap" trilogy. As a solo artist, his albums operate as audio collages that blur parody, outsider music, and sonic prank warfare. As a bandleader, producer, and curator, Scum Puppy has introduced dozens of cult acts while championing artistic autonomy, poor taste, and the deliberate rejection of commercial sense.
